Role Summary

Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements. Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. May be involved in reviewing, tracking and maintaining billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the entire accounting operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.

Handle all tax, compliance, and regulatory requirements for the company’s operations in multiple countries LATAM.

Manage external accountants in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, to ensure compliance with local tax and employment regulations.

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheets, and financial forecasts.

Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.

Prepare and present financial reports to upper management, providing insights and strategic recommendations.

Establish and enforce internal financial controls and procedures to maintain compliance and efficiency.

Collaborate with management to align financial goals with business objectives.

 

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Valid CRC – Certified Public Accountant in Brazil.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in Accounting.

Proven experience managing full accounting operations independently, without support staff.

Advanced knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and accounting standards.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle) and advanced Excel.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Advanced English proficiency is required; Spanish is a plus.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
